What are some creative ways you have renovated your home without breaking the bank? Ocala HOME readers share and suggest...
A paint job does wonders!
— Lindsay Jenson
We laid our own bamboo floors, plank by plank. Not hard at all, just a bunch of measuring. Boy, did it change the look of the house.
— Cindi Mendola Williams
As for renovating and updating my home, I plan to “reinvent” my interiors by bringing out items placed into the back closet a long time ago… recycling those accessories, furnishing and linens that haven’t seen the light of day in a few years. No expense, little effort, and big payoff in terms of a new “look” to the house!
— Kevin Christian
We had tile put in the foyer, front hall, kitchen, pantry, utility room and around the island. It cost less than $2,000 and gave the house a much nicer look than the
linoleum that was here when we moved in.
— Lisa Trapp Varner
We put in a patio terrace at the back of our home that has been wonderful...and we bought a park bench and created some landscape areas, none of which has broken the bank as you say, but it gives a new twist to some things.
— Cash and Gwen Pealer
Wallpaper! It now comes pre-pasted so application is easy and user friendly. Not to mention patterns are making a comeback so the addition of paper to any room is a trendy update!
